About The Position

Job Description: Sales Associate

Reports To: Sales Manager

Status: Full-time

Roofing 101 Shingles and Solar provides the best experience period. Together, creating abundant experiences for our customers, people, and communities. We are looking for sales associates with excellent communication skills, experience, and savvy to meet new clients in their homes and sell them our services for roofing or solar needs.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be self-motivated, work independently, communicate well, and be highly organized and enjoy a team atmosphere. We are looking for an individual who isn’t afraid to work hard. Experience in the roofing or solar industry is a plus but not required. The right individual will play a key part in the expansion of this company and will have the opportunity to grow as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full time position.
  • Door knock a minimum of 100 doors in a week
  • Develop and Maintain a Lead Generation & Prospecting Plan.
  • Maintain a working insured vehicle for transportation to appointments.
  • Return all customer and company phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Maintain a working PC or tablet for in-home sales.

  • Test and improve all systems by using them. Bring any problems or concerns with a system to the attention of my manager so that the system can be continuously improved and updated in the Operations Manuals. Employees performing the work will be asked for input prior to revising existing processes.
  • Keep all business communications professional in tone and content.
  • Maintain and wear professional attire.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • The desire to make a real difference in a growing company, and to have some fun along the way
  • Basic business knowledge
  • Solid experience delivering customer service
  • Experience managing a busy work schedule
  • High School Diploma

TRAINING AND ONGOING EDUCATION

  • Provided

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • College Degree – Associates or Bachelors
  • Prior construction experience or knowledge of construction industry

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting 20% (in the office, client’s homes, driving to appointments)
  • Standing/walking 80%
  • Must be able carry a 32' ladder and climb on roofs
  • Frequent client and interoffice personnel interaction; heavily dependent on excellent customer interaction.
  • Hearing – Must be able to hear telephonic equipment and comfortably communicate with clients and others by telephone and in
  • Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for business software, and operating office

Pay Scale (ROOFING DIVISION)

Weeks: 1-2 (Lead Setter Training)

  • $1,000 base pay for your first 2 weeks of training

Weeks: 3+ (Sales Associate)

  • 100% Commission
  • Average Commission is $1,000 per Signed Job
  • Average Earnings is $5,000-$10,000 per month
  • Can take draw after first deal signed


Pay Scale (SOLAR DIVISION)

Weeks: 1-2 (Lead Setter Training)

  • $1,000 base pay for your first 2 weeks of training

Weeks 3+ (Lead Setter)

  • $50 per appointment scheduled
  • + $200 dollars for appointments ran
  • = $250 per appointment scheduled and ran

After hitting benchmarks to become a "Sales Associate"

  • 100% Commission
  • Average Commission is $2,500 per Signed Job
  • Average Earnings is $5,000-$10,000 per month

Average Earnings in First Year

  • $65,000 to $125,000
